The Competently Ready to Work project was developed in response to a UNC General Administration Request for Proposals focused on student competencies and online learning. Employers are looking for new grads that possess the 21st century skills reflective of the current and future work environment. Current graduates fall short in several of these intangible areas. Through previous research, six key competencies for improvement have been identified. I worked with the Competently Ready to Work Team to develop online learning modules for three of these competencies, including Motivation, Collaboration and Teamwork, and Leadership and Development. These modules are able to be used seamlessly across the state of North Carolina in various degree programs. These modules effectively train and prepare graduates to enter the workforce equipped with the 21st century skills desired by potential employers. The modules can be incorporated into an already established online or blended course with internship field experience. Working with Subject Matter Experts at UNCC I completed the analysis, design, development, pilot implementation and evaluation. The modules were built with Articulate Storyline and are ready for full implementation across North Carolina universities. |
EIST 6491: Internship ProjectMy internship was completed at TIAA Financial in Charlotte, NC. For this project I worked closely with Subject Matter Experts in the Pension Rollover Specialist role within Money Movement Services to identify task, topic, and process specifications. Through extensive front-end analysis through interviews and extant data research, I designed and developed training and just-in-time learning solutions for new and existing employees. Training was developed with Articulate Storyline 2 and Microsoft SharePoint.
